There are serious delays in the landing and takeoff and times of flights to and from Ben Gurion Airport Tuesday.
The reason for the delays, according to Army Radio, is that Cyprus is upgrading its flight control system.
Most flights to and from Israel pass through Cypriot airspace. As long as the system upgrade process continues, the number of planes that are allowed to pass through Cypriot airspace is being limited.
The Israel Airports Authority estimates that the delays will continue until the evening hours on Tuesday.
The public is requested to consult the airlines and Ben Gurion Airport's internet page for the most up-to-date flight schedule.
