Israel became the capital of innovation again recently, after professionals from around the world gathered in Caesarea for the ID² Israeli Designed International Development conference.

The conference drew experts from a variety of sectors, including the agriculture, health, education, and energy industries, to brainstorm solutions for developing countries.

Arutz Sheva spoke to several of the conference's top guests during the three-day event to understand the special theme for this year, "Invest for Impact."

The conference is a joint effort from development experts and social entrepreneurs Danielle Abraham and Daniel Ben Yehuda, as well as MASHAV, Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation, part of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“We are looking to explore how social entrepreneurship and investing for impact can be used to tackle the world's most pressing development challenges, by implementing and scaling real solutions,” said Abraham and Ben Yehuda in a joint statement.

“Our goal is to transform Israel from the Start-Up Nation to the Development Start-Up Nation – a hub for, a provider of and a partner to innovative solutions for the developing world.”
