Deputy Defense Minister Rabbi Eli Ben Dahan (Jewish Home) took part Tuesday in the memorial ceremony marking 80 years since the passing of Rabbi Avraham Yitzhak Hacohen Kook ztz”l, which was held at the rabbi's grave at the Mount of Olives.

"Above all, our teacher and rabbi Rabbi Avraham Yitzhak Hacohen Kook ztz”l taught us a great lesson in the unity of Israel,” he said. “We must look beyond all the differences and the disagreements that separate us in daily life, and focus on what unites and connects us.”

Ben Dahan also mentioned a new pamphlet that was distributed in haredi population centers, inciting against haredi men who enlist in the IDF. He demanded that the law enforcement arms take tough action against the inciters.

"Incitement is incitement and it leads to violence,” he said. “We must not allow incitement, God forbid, toward any section of the people of Israel. The more the enforcement arms are able to take deterrent steps against the inciters, the better.”
