Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon arrived to visit the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hevron on Tuesday morning, despite protests and unrest from Palestinian Arabs at the site.
Officers had entered the prayer complex and asked anyone there to leave ahead of the official visit, for security reasons, Attorney Itamar Ben Gvir noted Tuesday morning.
Right-wing activist Baruch Marzel told officers that the children of the Zilberman school, a special school system with intensive Torah learning, would not leave the site because of the hardships they went to in order to learn there daily - and that they would have to arrest him first.
In order to avoid a riot, the children would be allowed to stay. Marzel was asked to leave.
Marzel jumped on Ya'alon's vehicle upon arrival and shouted, "Enemy of the settlement movement, Minister of Insecurity, who is weak against Arabs but strong against Jews!"
A SWAT team arrived and forcibly evicted Marzel from the site.
