Controversial conductor Daniel Barenboim, an Israeli resident of Germany, plans to conduct a concert in Ramallah later this week. Tonight he is scheduled to perform in the Jerusalem Convention Center. Barenboim’s last visit to Israel, in July of last year, became a major controversy when he included a work by anti-Semitic composer Richard Wagner at the Israel Festival - in violation of his consent to abide by the organizers\' decision not to do so. He turned to the audience at the end of the last concert and said, \"The concert is over; I will now play Wagner. Whoever wants to, may leave.\" The \"sneak attack\" drew wide criticism.
