On the Tunnels Highway south of Jerusalem around 8 AM, a woman was murdered and her husband was lightly wounded by shots from the direction of the Beit Jala area; the rescue forces who arrived were also shot at, and the evacuation of the wounded took place under fire. About an hour and a half later, journalist Benny Liss was lightly wounded when terrorists opened fire in the same spot. Liss said afterwards that fire continues to be exchanged there, and that about a week ago a terrorist cell jumped onto the highway at the same spot, shot at 11 cars, and returned safely to their homes in Al-Hader.
