Yet another morning of terrorism in Israel, with five dead in three attacks. They began with a stabbing-and-shooting assault at 2:15 in the morning in Tel Aviv, leaving three dead and 30 wounded. The terrorist, from Gaza, opened fire at the patrons of two restaurants in downtown Tel Aviv; when his bullets ran out, he began stabbing Israelis, and also threw two grenades that did not explode. He was finally killed by a policeman and a passerby. The policeman, Salim Barakat of the Israeli-Arab village Yarka in the Galilee, collapsed afterwards and died of his wounds. It is assumed that the terrorist was aided by Israeli-Arabs in choosing his target and reaching the site.
