According to initial reports, an Arab construction worker was stabbed in the shoulder by a Jewish co-worker Monday morning, causing him light injuries.

Channel 2 cited the victim as well as witnesses who said that the attacker shouted “death to the Arabs” before stabbing him.

The attack took place at a construction site on Kehilat Tzion street in Herzliya.

Paramedics gave the man initial treatment and evacuated him to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba.

“When we arrived at the scene we saw a man aged about 28 who apparently worked there,” Paramedic Sigal Abramovich said. “He was fully conscious and walked about, and suffered a superficial stab wound in the upper body. We gave him medical treatment and evacuated him to hospital in light condition.”

Glilot police have reportedly located the stabber, who escaped immediately after the attack. He is 36, and a resident of Herzliya.
