There were only two ways to leave Egypt, militarily or by way of a major miracle. Militarily was out of the question since the Jewish people had no military, and a major miracle required merits that they just didn’t have.
So how did they get out in the end? It turns out that when redemption has to come, Heaven sends down light and that’s when all the fun begins.
