(2 March) The body of a 40-year-old Israeli police detective was found earlier tonight near Kedar, east of Jerusalem, in the area of Mishur Adumim. The man, whose name has still not been released, was murdered by Palestinian gunfire. Arafat\'s own Fatah terrorist organization took responsibility for the incident.

IDF forces and police are conducting further investigations, but spokespeople said it appears the man was taking a ride on his motorcycle when he was struck by Palestinian gunfire. At first, investigators thought the man had died in a bike accident. However, after checking his body, they found he had been shot in the head.

Two Bedouin residents of the nearby area discovered the man’s body. They alerted area security, which promptly arrived.

Roughly one month ago, an Israeli from Rishon L’zion was killed in the same place, near Marsaba, in a similar fashion.
