Walter has returned from the UK, and is extremely disappointed at the ‘can’t happen here’ attitude of our fellow Jews to the anti-Semitic outrages in Europe and the Muslim indoctrination of impressionable youth to kill all infidels - particularly Jews.

Even a senior Jewish community officer described the general opinion of the Jewish community in Britain as well established, and achieving economic, political, cultural success in a way it’s never done before. It’s a well integrated community which generally is content with living in England."

Even Kosher slaughter is under attack.

They have this false belief, strongly held in spite of the evidence that it is contrary to reality.

Well isn’t that a perfect echo of the situation in Germany in the 1930’s?

I lived through it as a teenager where the German Jews had exactly the same attitude.  ‘We are Germans, we like it here, we pay our taxes, we even fought for the Fatherland,  so nothing will happen to us’ , although the writing was on the wall.  For most, emigration was not an option, until  ‘the water reached their heads’ and the rest is history.

Many listeners already know that I was a highly decorated British soldier, but unlike the Jews in Germany, I would never have relied on the letter from the King, to save me from anti-Semitic attack.  Coming to Israel was the best thing I ever did.

My advice to European Jews is to do the same now, rather than having to run with one suitcase as I had to do.
