A Tekoa resident who was forced to shoot in self-defense during a rock-throwing incident will have to pay 200,000 shekels in reparations to the family of an Arab boy who was killed in that incident.
Boaz Moskowitz of Tekoa was bombarded with a hailstorm of rocks very late one night almost two years ago while on his way home to Tekoa. Fearing for his life, he shot several times in the air. Hours later it was reported that an Arab boy had been killed there, and his family sued Moskowitz. The Jerusalem Magistrates Court ruled in favor of the family; Moskowitz appealed in the District Court, which rejected the appeal.
