Jewish Home Chairman Naftali Bennett's unsuccessful recruitment of soccer legend Eli Ohana to the party's Knesset list cost the religious Zionist party 0.9 Knesset seats in the weekly average of polls.

The Jewish Home went from an average of 15.6 to 14.7  – not fun for the charismatic leader who had seemed, to his supporters, to be able to do no wrong, but not irreparable either. The Ohana snafu, which pitted a large part of his support base against him, ended with Ohana withdrawing his candidacy.

The Knesset Jeremy Weekly Average for the week of Jan 25-Jan 31 2015 is based on nine polls from six polling companies (Teleseker, Panels, Smith, Dialog, Midgam, Maagar Mochot).

Labor is in first place with 25.2 MKs, up from 24.4 last week. Likud has 24.4, up from 24.0.

After the Jewish Home, the United Arab List is fourth with 12.0 seats, up from 11.2 last week.

Yesh Atid is fifth with 9.4 and Moshe Kahlon's Kulanu gets 7.7. Both are very close to where they were last week.

Haredi parties UTJ and Shas receive 7.1 MKs each on average – both down slightly from last week's 7.4.

Yisrael Beytenu is down to 5.4, from 5.8 last week. Meretz is at 5.3, and the combined Yahad / Ha'am Itanu / Otzma Yehudit list receives 3.3 MKs.

The only viable coalition continues to be one led by Binyamin Netanyahu, and which includes Likud, Jewish Home, Kulanu, Yisrael Beytenu, UTJ, Shas, and Ha'am Itanu. Such a coalition would have 68 or 69 MKs, compared to the current 61 seat coalition, and would not include the left-leaning Hatnua and Yesh Atid.

The Knesset Jeremy average is compiled by Jeremy Saltan, a Jewish Home party insider who served as the party's English-language campaign manager in the last elections.
