Israel\'s Supreme Court this afternoon dismissed petitions - launched nearly two years ago - demanding that the Moslem Waqf cease destroying archeological treasures beneath the Temple Mount. The petitions were submitted by two organizations, the Temple Mount Faithful and the Committee to Prevent Destruction of Antiquities. Arutz-7 correspondent Benny Tucker reports that the judges observed that among the signatories of the petitions were Ariel Sharon and Uzi Landau, who have since taken on the posts of Prime Minister and Public Security Minister, respectively. Thus, concluded the court, the petitioners should first turn to Sharon and Landau with their concerns \"before turning to the Supreme Court. This court is not the address for such matters.\" Itim news agency reports today that the Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorist organizations are calling for a \"Day of Rage\" this Friday to “liberate the Temple Mount” in Jerusalem’s Old City.
