Jewish Home Chairman and Economy Minister Naftali Bennett announced Sunday that the Right is prepared for any steps the Left may take - including a unification between Yesh Atid and Labor-Hatnua.

In an interview with Galey Israel, Bennett was asked if he feared this possibility, which could occur as parties finalize their Knesset lists before the deadline Thursday.

"We're also prepared for a situation like that," Bennett stated. "If the Left unites, we'll have had a fair warning...we'll know it and we'll respond accordingly."

One could infer from Bennett's remarks that a consolidation between Likud and Jewish Home remains in his back pocket - should he have the need to use it in the scenario described.

However, Bennett did make clear on Friday that he did not envision the two parties running together because of vast differences.

"Jewish Home is actually the only party opposed to a Palestinian state, the only party that opposed the release of terrorists, which all the other parties actually voted for," he said in an interview with Israel Radio.

"We are different in each Jewish issue [as well], as well as our traditions and connection to Jewish identity, which are close to my heart," he added. "There is no need to unite but certainly after the election there will be one big nationalist bloc."

Recent polls indicate that a joint list between Likud and Jewish Home would gain a sweeping victory for the right-wing bloc at either 37 or 40 seats - virtually guaranteeing a right-wing or center-right government.

Jewish Home will gather Monday evening at the religious Moshav Nehalim to confirm Tekuma members into their list of representatives for the 20th Knesset.
