Public Security Minister Uzi Landau presented special awards to three Israeli citizens this afternoon for their respective roles in preventing terrorist attacks throughout the country in recent weeks. Shimon Ro\'ash, a Jerusalem parking inspector, prevented the explosion of a car-bomb in Jerusalem\'s Mea She\'arim neighborhood two weeks ago; a prize was also awarded to Petach Tikvah resident Meir Nachum, who last Wednesday found a \"Kosher for Passover\" cookie box on a path adjacent to his house. After suspecting that it was a bomb, Nachum alerted the police. Shimon Tweill, the third award recipient, successfully detected an explosive near his stand in the Netanya market recently.
