Both Jewish Home and Likud have responded publicly to the preliminary primary results of the Labor Party.
According to Jewish Home, the selected list, is "post-Zionist and puts an end to Labor's ambitions to be a ruling party.
Describing the elected candidates, Jewish Home stated there are "Marmara flotilla supporters, New Israel Fund members who support abolishing the Law of Return, and other members who have said they are ashamed of [Hatikva - The Hope] Israel's national anthem."
"The founders of the party are rolling in their graves," the statement concluded.
Likud's public relations staff also addressed that the Labor Party had chosen "a significantly left list."
"Israeli citizens must choose the party who will stand firm against the threats and challenges we face," Likud added.
Deputy Minister of Environment Ofir Akunis (Likud) also slammed the party's list for the March elections, claiming it "removed the mask from the face of Labor."
"The selected list represents the most far-left views with regard to socio-economic policy and political approach. Support for higher taxes and a withdrawal to the 1967 borders are outdated and dangerous conceptions. The candidates chosen are extremely inexperienced in state affairs," Okunis stated.
Labor primaries were held Tuesday with polling stations closed just after 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday night. There was a voter turnout of 58.9%, higher than the 57% recorded in the last primaries two years ago.
