Palestinian violence continued in full force today when Khan Yunis-based Arab terrorists fired three mortar shells at 3:45 pm on the Gush Katif community of Atzmona. Arutz-7 correspondent Kobi Finkler reported on several injuries, including a mother and her ten-month-old baby boy. The infant - Ariel Yered ben Leah - was injured in his head and spinal column from the shrapnel, and underwent an emergency CAT scan at Be\'er Sheva\'s Soroka Hospital to assess his condition and what medical treatment is advised. The child’s mother was listed in light condition. She and her baby were in their yard when three 81-millimeter mortar rockets landed in the community. Residents of the area were ordered into safe rooms and bomb shelters in anticipation of additional attacks. Four other Atzmona residents suffering from shock were also rushed to hospital for treatment.
Elsewhere in Gush Katif, Arab terrorists fired on the IDF post at Gadid. According to correspondent Moshe Pri\'el, nobody was injured in that attack. In related news, the IDF has confirmed that it destroyed the PA paramilitary post adjacent to the local Jewish farming community of Ganei Tal. It was from this post that PLO terrorists had been firing on IDF soldiers, as well as on civilians in the towns of Ganei Tal, Neve Dekalim, and Katif.
