An Israeli-Arab opened fire this morning at IDF soldiers manning a checkpoint at Baka al-Sharkiye, on the northwestern border of the Shomron. Two soldiers were wounded, lightly and moderately, respectively. In the ensuing exchange of fire, one terrorist was killed; there are conflicting reports as to whether the second terrorist, his driver, was killed or detained.

Arabs also shot at army positions near Kalkilye (east of Kfar Sava), Sa-Nur (northern Shomron), and north of Hevron, and detonated four bombs against soldiers: on the road to Mount Eval near Shechem, in the Bethlehem district south of the capital, aside a jeep in Gush Katif, and near Kalkilye. There were no reports of injuries in any of these incidents.
