Two Arab terrorists opened fire this morning at IDF soldiers manning a checkpoint at Baka al-Sharkiye, on the northwestern border of the Shomron. Two soldiers were wounded, lightly and moderately, respectively. In the ensuing exchange of fire, one of the terrorists, an Israeli-Arab, was killed, while the one who fired at the soldiers fled on foot with IDF troops in pursuit. A bomb was later discovered on the dead terrorist\'s body.



Other areas targeted by Arab gunfire last night were the Binyamin community of Psagot north of Jerusalem; an army position in the Kalkilye area, east of Kfar Sava; the Tunnels Highway between Gush Etzion and Jerusalem; the northern Shomron Sa-Nur base; two army positions north of Hevron; and the Kvasim Junction south of Hevron. There were no reports of injuries in any of these incidents.



Four bombs were detonated against soldiers last night. One incident was on the road to Mount Eval in the Shomron, one near Kalkilye, a third in the Bethlehem district south of the capital, and a fourth aside a jeep in Gush Katif. There were no reports of injuries in any of these incidents.



Later this morning, motorists in an Israeli car were shot at north of Jerusalem, near Atarot; no one was hurt.
