The Victims of Arab Terror International (VAT) organization held a demonstration today outside Ministry of the Interior offices in Jerusalem, urging the easing of licensing regulations for weapons of self-defense. While Interior Minister Eli Yeshai enacted some changes this past December making it easier for some residents to obtain a weapon, these changes have not yet come into effect. VAT President Shifra Hoffman noted that just four days ago, \"the life of a woman in Hevron was saved because when a would-be attacker came at her with a knife, she pulled out her gun and the Arab fled... Every area in Israel is now dangerous, and all of Israel’s citizens should be given the right to defend themselves - without having to prove that their area is dangerous and without waiting three months...\"
