The IDF's elite special forces Duvdevan unit, with aid from General Security Services forces, arrested a Hamas terrorist on Wednesday in Bethlehem, Judea.

An IDF source said Thursday evening that the terrorist was involved in the shooting attack last Sunday near Har Gilo, located just south of Jerusalem and to the north of Bethlehem.

The terrorist was also said to be involved in an attack last Wednesday on an IDF post near Bethlehem, in which terrorists tried to run over IDF soldiers with a car.

At the home of the terrorist IDF forces discovered a pistol and ammunition.

"The arrest is added to the list of activities by the forces throughout Judea and Samaria in the goal of harming the Hamas infrastructure," said the source.

The arrest comes in context of Operation Brother's Keeper, which aims to rescue the three Israeli teens kidnapped by Hamas terrorists two weeks ago and, as mentioned by the source, destroy Hamas's ability to conduct such abductions.

Ten terrorists were arrested on Wednesday night, with one of the wanted terrorists in the Arab village of Samua to the south of Hevron being injured critically as he tried to flee from the IDF forces. The terrorist was shot and evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital.

Additionally, one Arab rioter died of his wounds in Ramallah after being injured critically last week during attacks on IDF security forces.

The arrest comes as the IDF released for publication on Thursday the identities of two of the Hamas terrorists from Hevron who were involved in the kidnapping.
