St.-Sgt. Yaakov Krenchel, the reserve soldier who was killed last night during a gun battle with Palestinians between Elon Moreh and Itamar, will be buried this afternoon in the military cemetery in Nahariya. Krenchel, 23, was shot by terrorist fire coming from the village of Salem, east of Shechem - under Israeli security control. The Palestinians claim that the killing was in response to Israel\'s pro-active arrest yesterday of several Force 17 terroristsin territory under Palestinian security control.



Israeli sources said that the arrested terrorists were reponsible for many attacks in the region, and that \"many attacks in the future were prevented by these arrests.\"
