The Israel Emergency Solidarity Fund held four walk-a-thons in the New York area yesterday, with a total of over 10,000 participants. The goal of the campaign, according to its website is to show \"solidarity for our brethren in Israel during these critical times,\" and to raise money in the wake of the suffering caused by the Palestinian terrorism. Although the Israeli government supports the families of terrorism victims, the walk-a-thon campaign hopes to meet needs above and beyond those. More walk-a-thons are planned for the coming weeks.
