The victims in yesterday’s terrorist shooting outside a coffee shop on Palmach Street in the southern Israeli city of Beersheva will be laid to rest today. Lt. Keren Rotstein, 20, from Ashkelon, will be laid to rest in the military section of the Ashkelon cemetery at 3 PM. Corp. Aya Malachi, 18, of Moshav Ein HaBesor, will be buried in her home community an hour later.



Three women wounded in the attack remain hospitalized in the Soroka Medical Center in Be\'er Sheva, including one in serious/critical condition.



Police are now investigating the possibility that Arabs with Israeli citizenship assisted the two terrorists, who were from the Hevron hills, in getting to Be\'er Sheva and in directing them to a suitable target. The Arabs drove to the scene of their murderous attack in a car reported stolen by an Israeli two weeks ago.



Public Security Minister Uzi Landau, speaking this morning on Army Radio, revealed some of his true feelings about the current situation. “Arafat is the enemy [and] the Oslo agreements have completely collapsed,\" he said. \"Israel should therefore not aim to reach a ceasefire but a decisive military victory.”
