A Syrian opposition activist recorded the terrifying scene as a dozens of missiles rained down on the city of Nawa, in Daraa province, close to Israel's Golan heights.

The video appears to have been taken on Friday, and is part of ongoing attempts by regime forces to dislodge rebel fighters in the area.

The cameraman claims the explosions are from Grad missiles, but the apparent indiscriminate nature of the onslaught is also reminiscent of the Assad regime's use of crude "barrel bombs" to strike fear into opposition strongholds.
