On Friday afternoon, Moran Amit, 25, a Haifa University law student, was stabbed to death in the Peace Forest in Abu Tor, Jerusalem. The four Arab youths responsible for the death were caught and arrested - one of them died of heart failure in the course of the chase. The others admitted having perpetrated other stabbings and attacks in the Jerusalem area over the past weeks.



In Hevron yesterday, an Arab teenage girl attempted to stab a Jewish mother of 8. The woman pulled out her gun, but the would-be attacker kept advancing; she then pointed the gun at her, and the girl ran into a house. Israeli soldiers arrested her with a large knife still in her hands.



In other attacks, a Magen David Adom ambulance was targeted by Arab rock-throwers west of Bethlehem; the vehicle sustained damage. Last night, in the same area near Beitar Illit, a child was injured in a stone-throwing attack… The army completed its military operation in Shechem with several arrests, but admitted that one of its main suspects managed to escape. Army forces continued operating in Tamoun today, from whence the murderers of the three Israelis in Hamra last week apparently originated…
