Traffic ground to a halt on Highway 1 – the main road to and from Jerusalem from the coastal plain – Wednesday morning. The road was blocked in both directions for hours near Neveh Ilan, because of a bus that caught fire. Traffic has since resumed moving but is still doing so slowly near Ein Hemed, and it is recommended to use alternative routes such as Highway 443 and 395.

Police announced that the camping grounds at Park Hamaayanot and Gan Hashlosha (the Sahneh), both of which are in the Beit She'an area, are full.

Several highways in the Galilee including Highway 90 are extremely congested. Northward traffic on Highway 6 near Ein Tut was also crawling Wednesday afternoon.

Despite the tailbacks, the Samaria Regional Council announced that the planned event at Homesh has been cancelled due to an IDF decision, but the rest of the events in Samaria are being held as scheduled. These include a musical event at Mevo Dotan, and an artistic event on Har Kabir.
