Minister of Public Security Uzi Landau will be extending the closure order on the former PLO headquarters in Jerusalem known as the Orient House. The decision to keep it closed follows extensive consultations with police and other security agencies that have proof of continuing illegal PLO activities in Israel’s capital.
Police closed the Orient House on August 10, 2001 following the suicide bombing at the Sbarro’s Pizzeria in downtown Jerusalem that killed 15 Israeli civilians.
