A group of worshipers headed for Rachel\'s Tomb on Friday were not allowed in with their bulletproof bus - so they walked in by foot instead. The soldiers manning the nearby checkpoint originally told the group that because of the Land Day demonstrations by Arabs, it was \"too dangerous\" to allow them to enter. The group did not accept this \"explanation,\" and when they began walking in by foot, the soldiers had no choice but to accompany them.
The Eishet Chayil Foundation continues to sponsor daily bulletproof buses to Rachel\'s Tomb. The buses leave from the Gilo junction leading to the holy site from 9 AM until noon.
An emergency medical team from the town of Shavei Shomron, in central Samaria, saved the life of a Palestinian baby this afternoon. An unconscious eight-month-old Arab baby was brought to the entrance of the town with high fever. A Magen David Adom team, working together with an IDF doctor, resuscitated the baby, who was later taken by Palestinian ambulance to a local hospital.
