Construction and Housing Minister Uri Ariel is asking the public to assist in the rebuilding of the Kaisler family's home in Kidah, which was recently destroyed by the IDF, in the name of the government he serves in.
“A criminal act has been carried out here,” said Ariel. “The destruction of this house should not have happened. We are all recruited to help the Kaizler family rebuild their home here in Kida.
“I am sure you will all join and help,” he added, “and together – with a feeling a responsibility toward each other – we will rebuild their house along with the entire Land of Israel.”
The home was razed by the IDF's Civil Administration three weeks ago, in a surprise raid that politicians compared to a "price tag" vandalism attack. Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon was reportedly misled by the Civil Administration into signing the demolition decree, and thought that the home was an empty temporary structure.
Kaisler, who heads the grassroots Shomron (Samaria) Residents' Committee, and his wife Morag, had only recently completed their new house in Kida, which is located in the Binyamin Region of Samaria (Shomron), near the ancient Jewish town of Shilo.
