The Council of Jewish Communities in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza (Yesha) has apologized to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and retracted statements it released Saturday night after it became known that Sharon met with senior PLO figures. The Council had announced at the time that the meeting \"harmed Israeli security and encouraged terrorism,\" and recommended that Sharon ask President Bush how to fight terrorism without \"zig-zagging.\" Yesha Council spokesman Yehoshua Mor-Yosef refused to comment on the council\'s retraction.
