Sagi Kaisler, whose house in the village of Kida was bulldozed by the Civil Administration, has spoken out in an interview with Arutz Sheva.
Kaisler, who heads the grassroots Shomron (Samaria) Residents' Committee, told of the massive personal loss to him and his wife Morag as a result of the demolition - which activists say was politically-motivated - but insisted the phenomenon of Jewish homes being destroyed in Judea and Samaria was a public issue, not a private one.
The Kaisler family had only recently completed their new house in Kida, which is located in the Binyamin Region of Samaria (Shomron), near the ancient Jewish town of Shiloh.
Sagi told Arutz Sheva of the moment he realized that the 300-strong joint team of IDF and Civil Administration personnel had come to tear down his home.
"As part of my job, like I always do when forces of destruction are moving about in Judea and Samaria, we told the press and posted on my Facebook page that they are planning to tear down a hilltop neighborhood," he recalled. "A short time later I realized that the forces were coming to my home."
Sagi was at home, but his wife was taking their children to kindergarten. By the time she got back it was too late - though she still required medical attention in the aftermath after being manhandled by police.
Despite the trauma - and the more than one million shekel-loss they have suffered - the Kaislers are determined to rebuild.
"We will try to rebuild a house here. It might not happen tomorrow but will get stronger and strengthen the entire settlement enterprise, with God's help."
The demolition was sharply criticized by activists, as well as politicians. MK Orit Struk (Jewish Home), who prior to her election founded the Yesha Human Rights Organization, paid a visit to the Kaislers and compared the incident to a "targeted killing".
