A bomb was detonated along the Negohot-Shekef road last night as an Israeli car passed by. The explosion caused light damage, but no one was hurt. The road connects the South Har Hevron community of Negohot with the northern Negev, and has been Negohot\'s lifeline ever since the Palestinian Authority was granted control over part of the road connecting the town with Hevron, Gush Etzion, and Jerusalem. The population of Negohot, which was once considered to be doomed by the transportation problem, has more than doubled in the past year, from 10 families to 21.
