A medicine that costs 20,000 shekels (over $4,400) may be able to save Boris Lifshitz - and his neighbors in Karmiel want to get it for him. Lifshitz, married with six children, was diagnosed recently with a particular form of cancer, and he and his wife - who also cannot work - are unable to afford the required medicine. The Municipality of Karmiel, in the northern Galilee, decided to stage a special evening in the local Culture Hall with the participation of the town\'s musicians and bands. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Lifshitz medicine fund.
