Five members of the DFLP\'s National Resistance Battalions were killed when their car blew up this morning around 9 AM on the road between Gaza City and Khan Yunis. The group coordinates the various Palestinian terrorist organizations in Gaza. Three possible explanations have been raised by Arab and Israeli sources for the blast: It was either a \"work accident,\" i.e., the pre-mature explosion of a bomb that was to be have been used against Israel; or the outgrowth of a clash yesterday between PA Naval Police and Hamas; or, as some Arab sources later claimed, an Israeli offensive. Israel says that the four were not even wanted, and officially denies any involvement in the incident. It has been reported, however, that one of the dead was involved in the August attack against the Marganit outpost in which three soldiers were killed. Hundreds of Arabs arrived at the hospital where the four bodies were brought, calling for vengeance against Israel.
