The Israeli flag flying over the Knesset building will be replaced with a larger model later this month. MK Michael Eitan (Likud) initiated the change, after receiving complaints on his internet site that the current flag was too small and not sufficiently noticeable. Upon speaking with those in charge of Knesset flags, he was told that the heavy winds make flag-life atop the Knesset very short. Eitan was able to find a flag-maker who agreed to make a flag that was both large (2.8 by 4 meters, or 9.3 by 13.3 feet) and durable, and it will be placed atop the Parliament for a trial period.
