Schools, kindergartens and day care centers in Jerusalem will not open Monday, because storm damage has made some of the institutions unsafe, and because of the danger posed by icy roads and sidewalks.

The Jerusalem Municipality said that its employees, together with IDF soldiers and volunteers, will thoroughly inspect the institutions and fix the damage so that they can be reopened Tuesday.

Hebrew University, the Lev Institution and the Tal Institution announced that they would open at 12:00 noon. Bayit Vegan College will not open Monday, nor will Jerusalem College, including the Ofek Hadash courses.

Educational institutions in Tzfat, including the academic college in the town, will remain closed Monday, too.

Educational institutions in some of the communities in the Binyamin Regional Council will also be closed Monday. The communities are Shilo, Eli, Maale Levona, Shvut Rachel, Givot Shilo, Kohav Yaakov, Tel Tzion, Ateret, Nahliel, Amona, Ofra, Psagot and Haresha.

Ulpenat Ofra, Talmud Torah Mihmash, Dolev Girls' School and Ulpenat Neria will also remain closed.

In Beit Horon, Talmon and Neria, schools will open at 9:00 a.m.

In the rest of the communities in the Binyamin Regional Coucil, studies will be held in their usual hours.

Educational institutions in Beit El will be closed Monday, except for the two large day care centers in the northern and southern neighborhoods. The day care center in the caravilla neighborhood will remain closed.

In Samaria, educational institutions will remain closed in Har Bracha, Yitzhar, Itamar, Migdalim, Tapuah, Givat Ronen, Shavei Shomron, Rehelim, Nofei Nehemia and Elon Moreh.

In Ariel, educational institutions will remain shut. However, transportation for student studying outside Ariel, including special needs students, will be available.

Educational institutions in Mevaseret Tzion will also remain closed as will be those in Gush Etzion.
