Three Arab terrorists attempted to infiltrate the town of Elon Moreh, in the Shomron, this afternoon. The town’s first-response unit quickly arrived on the scene and took off in pursuit. The Israelis fired at the Arabs, wounding one seriously and one lightly. The two were arrested - knives were found on them - but the third escaped towards the nearby village of Azmut. Two days ago, another Arab also apparently from Azmut succeeded in infiltrating Elon Moreh and stabbed an 8-year-old boy. The town of Elon Moreh does not have a fence around it. Yanky Savir, Elon Moreh’s security officer, explained that the residents object to a fence not only for ideological reasons, but also for security considerations: “If there is a fence, then Arabs can come all the way up to the fence, and there is nothing we can do about it. From there, they can \"scout\" the area, see where there are holes in the fence, etc. Every fence has holes, of course, and if there aren’t any in a convenient location, then with special cutters they can make one within three seconds…”

Elsewhere, Arabs have been shooting on and off all afternoon at IDF forces in Psagot, north of Jerusalem and adjacent to Ramallah. The soldiers returned fire. No casualties have been reported, although one army vehicle was damaged. Arabs fired at Israeli vehicles near Ganim, east of Hadera, and near Ma\'aleh Ephraim in the Jordan Valley. Damage was caused to one of the cars. At the nearby Migdalim junction, an Arab who threw a firebomb was shot and severely wounded by IDF soldiers.
