Iranian President Hassan Rouhani expressed satisfaction Tuesday over his country’s deal with the west, which he said has left Israel diplomatically isolated, Al-Arabiya reports.

His comments were made to Iranian state TV in an interview marking his first 100 days in office. When asked about the deal regarding Iran’s nuclear program, Rouhani gloated, “Now, our enemies are isolated.”

He did not refer to Israel by name, but used terminology such as “occupier regime” which Iranian leaders have often used to refer to the Jewish state.

Iran’s deal with the “P5+1” nations will lead to a partial removal of sanctions. Iran agreed to allow UN inspectors access to its nuclear facilities, and to cap its level of uranium enrichment.

Rouhani and other Iranian leaders have declared that they plan to continue uranium enrichment, which they view as a national right.

A spokeswoman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said Tuesday that a fact sheet on the deal on the While House website was inaccurate, and that the deal with western powers left Iran with more leeway on its nuclear program than the sheet had implied.

Israeli leaders have been critical of the deal, which they argue left Iran dangerously close to obtaining a nuclear weapon.
