Attorney-General Elyakim Rubenstein has expressed his opposition to the hiring of public relations teams and lobbyists by Bank of Israel and Israel Police. He said that this would be an improper use of public funds, and that both bodies have professional workers as well as ministers who oversee them. \"Particularly at these [economically troubled] times,\" said Rubenstein, \"there is no justification for using money in this manner.\" The police have come under much public scrutiny of late, most recently in the Minister Lieberman-Mizrachi eavesdropping affair and the Nimrodi case.
