Effie Eitam retired from the army in Dec. 2000 - due to the army\'s refusal to promote him to full General, assumedly because of the large yarmulke on his head - he said that he hoped to \"start a mass educational movement to strengthen the spirit and morale of the country\'s citizens.\" Things have changed, however, and he is now engaged in efforts to establish a new religious political party that will include the NRP and Tekumah.
