Rabbi Avraham Zuckerman, the venerable dean of the Bnei Akiva yeshiva network, was laid to rest at the cemetery in Kfar HaRoeh on Sunday.

Rabbi Zuckerman, the eldest of Israel’s religious Zionist rabbis, passed away on Saturday night at the age of 98.

The funeral was attended by, among others, Rabbi Haim Druckman, head of the Or Etzion Yeshiva and head of the Bnei Akiva Yeshiva network; Rabbi Yaakov Ariel, the chief rabbi of the city of Ramat Gan; Rabbi Zephaniah Drori, chief rabbi of the city of Kiryat Shmona; Rabbi David Lau, Israel’s Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi; and Rabbi Rafi Peretz, the Chief Military Rabbi.

The funeral was also attended by ministers and MKs of the Bayit Yehudi, including party chairman Naftali Bennett, Senior Citizens Minister Uri Orbach, Housing Minister Uri Ariel, Deputy Minister of Religious Affair Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan and MK Shuli Moalem-Refaeli.
