US President Bush said yesterday that he is \"very disappointed\" with Arafat, and seemed to attribute to the PLO leader personal responsibility for the Karin-A weapons ship. American mediator Gen. Anthony Zinni, also speaking over the weekend, called Arafat a liar and compared him to a Mafia chief. Zinni will not return to the region in the near future.



Professors for a Strong Israel welcomed the developments in US policy. Chairman Dr. Ron Breiman said today that the U.S. has \"wised up\" to Yasser Arafat and from the Oslo process, \"and now understands that this is not a peace process.\" Breiman criticized Yossi Beilin and Burg \"who continue the same foolish ways that brought us the Oslo War.\"



In light of the sharp turnabout in American policy towards the Palestinian Authority, MK Tzvi Hendel (National Union-Yisrael Beiteinu) has called once again for Israel to dismantle what he calls the \"terrorist authority.\" \"Now is the time to dissolve the PA and return its policemen and soldiers back to Tunis,\" Hendel said today. Hendel advised Prime Minister Sharon to ignore the media noise being made by Yossi Beilin and his \"wild-eyed extremist bunch.\"
