All the students in Israel\'s elementary and junior high schools are to receive a special Tu B\'Shvat \"Haggadah.\" The booklet outlines prescribed rituals for the day of Tu B\'Shvat, which has been called the Jewish Arbor Day. The mini-holiday, which falls this coming Monday, was originally marked almost exclusively for its Halakhic [Jewish legal] ramifications on tithes and the like. More recently, however, the day has become associated with the Land of Israel and its agriculture. Information on Tu B\'Shvat can be found at several sites listed at \"http://www.jr.co.il/hotsites/j-hdaytu.htm.\"

The Haggadah booklets are sponsored by the Education Ministry as part of its new \"Jewish Tradition\" program. They contain various Tu B\'Shvat \"liturgies,\" based on various texts of the past few centuries, which in turn draw strongly from Kabbalah-based customs.
