An Arab terrorist blew himself up at late this morning near Tel Aviv\'s old central bus station. Three people were seriously wounded and over 20 others are listed in light-to-moderate condition. Witnesses on the pedestrian mall said that a man on a motorcycle asked a passerby, \"Is this N\'vei Shaanan St.?\" Seconds after being told that it was, he detonated his charge. Police said that the terrorist was apparently carrying the explosive on his person. The area is popular amongst foreign workers. The police had earlier declared a heavy terrorist alert on the entire Sharon area, slightly to the north of Tel Aviv.
