Prime Minister Sharon\'s office is intimating that the Americans are close to announcing publicly that they have despaired of working with Arafat. The U.S. has also hinted that Israel has a green light to carry out whatever military policies in Judea and Samaria it deems necessary. Publicly, the Americans continue to demand that Arafat put an end to terrorist attacks.
