An IDF unit has foiled a terrorist from carrying out an attack in central Israel.
The unit arrested a Palestinian Authority Arab man on Thursday in the village of Qud, located near the PA city of Jenin, in Shomron (Samaria).
The man was found to be a member of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization.
During the search carried out as part of the arrest, the soldiers found explosives, bullets, pipe bombs and plant fertilizer, which is used as one of the ingredients for making bombs.
The items were later destroyed and disposed of by IDF bomb experts.
Late Wednesday night, shots were fired at a bus with Israeli license plates near the PA Arab village of Huwara, in Samaria.
None of the passengers were physically injured, and the bus continued traveling along its route.
A price tag attack was also carried out against a PA Arab house in the same area Wednesday night, with rocks and firebombs hurled at the home. Police made seven arrests in the case.
