Arab sources are saying that the IDF has arrested the three Palestinian Authority (PA) policemen who murdered yeshiva student Ben Yosef Livnat.

According to the reports, the three were freed from a PA  jail after just one year's imprisonment. The IDF arrested them immediately upon their release.

Sources in Shechem said that Nawaf Fahd Bani Ouda, 25, of Tubas, was arrested in an overnight IDF raid at Tamoun, near Tubas.

Local residents tried to prevent the arrest and there were confrontations with soldiers, but the IDF encircled Ouda's house and took him away, according to the sources.

Livnat was murdered at Joseph's Tomb in April of 2011. He had come to pray at the site, along with several other yeshiva students.

"Israel arrested three elements of the national security who had been detained by the Palestinian Authority in Al-Jneid prison in Nablus for their unintentional killing of a settler two years ago," a PA official told AFP.

The Israeli military had no immediate comment.

The men had served a year in jail for the murder, and had returned to their police jobs 10 days ago after being freed last month, the PA official said.

Livnat was the nephew of  Minister of Culture and Sport, MK Limor Livnat (Likud-Yisrael Beytenu).
