Rain is falling throughout the country today, and is expected to continue through tomorrow. The Kinneret has risen a half-meter since its low point at the end of the summer, and now stands at 214.38 meters below sea level. A further rise of 1.38 meters, the equivalent of 235 million cubic meters of water, is needed to reach the original government-mandated \"red line\" below which the Kinneret was not to be allowed to drop.
